Yes, the number of visitors who attended January’s meeting was indeed a surprise!  They outnumbered members.  "It was as if we were conducting a speechcraft workshop once again", said David Chung, Toastmaster of the Evening.  At the table topic session conducted by Mary Soon, a number of visitors spoke before an audience for the very first time.  For some, it was a nerve-racking experience.  For others, the challenge got the heart pumping and the adrenalin flowing as they sharpened their thinking skills.  At the close of the meeting, two visitors signed up as members.   The second session also gave members and visitors alike, a refreshing mix of prepared speeches from both the basic competent communicator manual as well as the advance level.    The Award goes to ..
